Slow and steady wins the race? least I hope so.

As of yesterday, follicles are at 14, 13, 13 and 10. That means they grew only 3 mm in 3 days and one didn't grow at all, which makes me wonder if we're going to lose it.

Not to mention, I'm feeling a whole lot of nothing going on in my ovaries. No bloating, no twinges, no nothing. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but at the moment I'm leaning more towards bad.

Next ultrasound is Monday morning, so I guess we'll see where we are then. At this rate, it looks like we won't be doing our retrieval until at least Thursday or Friday, which means my brother's trip is cancelled.

In addition, we just had to change our hotel/pet sitter reservations for the 3rd time.

But it all will be worth it in the end, right?

On a positive note, it looks like my coverage for the IVIG has *finally* come through under the new insurance, which means we'd pay only ~$60 for each $4,000 infusion.

Plus the weather here is absolutely glorious, so I'm headed out to work in the yard.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

  1. Growth is growth. Take it for what it is. Hopefully you won't have to be on the stims too much longer. Fingers crossed for you. Sorry for the cancelled trip :( Stupid IF.

  2. so glad that your injections will be covered! that is awesome news :)

i too am stressing about growth because the two that are large right now i have a feeling are going to be too large at retrieval. and the others haven't done a thing yet. sigh.

it only takes one, wanna chant with me?

    thinking of you

  3. Yes, slow and steady DOES win! 3mm over 3 days is fine - they expect about 1-2mm each day. So you are on track. Hope you enjoyed the day!

  4. It sounds like you have follies that are growing nice and steady. From my experience, this is a good thing. Quality over quantity!!
I am so glad that your IVIg is covered! That is fantastic news. I don't know if my intralipids will be covered, but I remember you saying they are cheaper, but every little bit of reimbersement helps! Wishing you luck in the next few days!!

  5. great news about the IVIG coverage! And slow and steady is great. Sorry it's screwed up your schedule this next week though. So much about this is so not under our control. sigh....
